TRAVELERS OFFERS HYBRID VEHICLE OWNERS 10 PERCENT DISCOUNT ON AUTO INSURANCE

Visitors to HybridTravelers.com May Enter Sweepstakes to Win Getaway Vacation to Sedona, Arizona

HARTFORD, Conn., February 21, 2006 – Hybrid-driving Americans can now take advantage of a 10 percent discount* on auto insurance offered by Travelers personal lines, a member of St. Paul Travelers (NYSE:STA). Travelers made the discount available today in 27 states with plans to roll it out in most remaining states in the coming months.  Travelers is the first auto insurance company to begin implementing a discount for hybrid owners nationally. Today, the discount is available in Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Wisconsin.

Visitors to www.hybridtravelers.com, Travelers’ custom Web site created specifically with hybrid drivers in mind, can register to win a getaway vacation to the Enchantment Resort and Spa in beautiful Sedona, Ariz. All visitors who enter for the grand prize will also be eligible to win monthly giveaways of an iPod nano and $15 iTunes gift card. The grand prize drawing will be held in August, and visitors may enter online or print a form for mailing.
           
In addition to the insurance discount, hybrid drivers can benefit from the federal tax credit for alternative energy vehicles ranging from $250 to $3,400, depending on the model. The site also invites hybrid drivers from around the country to share their stories, pictures and playlists from the road with a growing hybrid community. The first 100 visitors whose submissions are accepted for display on the Web site will receive a $15 iTunes gift card.  Visitors can also access an agent locator and obtain policy information.

The Hybrid Travelers sweepstakes grand prize getaway vacation features a four-day/three-night stay for two at the Enchantment Resort and Spa in Sedona, Ariz., including round-trip air transportation, insurance, daily breakfast and car rental.
