FEDERAL INCENTIVES FOR OWNING A HYBRID CAR
New hybrid car incentives took effect as of January 1, 2006. To get the latest federal tax credit information,

The IRS provides clean-fuel vehicle deductions available for certain model of hybrid cars, along with the latest news releases
regarding particular models, at:

The U.S. Department of the Treasury has created a chart that briefly details tax credit information appropriate
for any car purchased in 2005 in an easy to read format:

In conjunction with the U.S. Department of Energy’s Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy program,
the U.S. National Renewable Energy Laboratory, provides a newsletter detailing federal tax deduction
information for the 2005 tax filing year for hybrid electric vehicles fact sheet downloadable at:
