When will the discount be available?
The discount will be implemented in approximately 30 states beginning in mid-February of 2006 and countrywide by mid-year.  Register on www.hybridtravelers.com to be contacted by email when the discount is available in your state.

Do I have to carry other policies with Travelers in order to get the discount?
No. The 10 percent discount is applied to the auto insurance policy on its own, but customers can save additional money by having both auto and homeowners insurance with Travelers.

Do hybrid owners with a good driving record get an additional discount from Travelers on top of the 10 percent discount?
A good driving record will have a positive effect on the final cost of car insurance for any Travelers customers. 

Does the 10 percent discount apply to all auto insurance coverages?
The discount for hybrid cars applies to all coverages on the hybrid car except uninsured motorists and personal injury protection.

Are there any other discounts at Travelers?
In addition to competitive rates that recognize customer differences, Travelers offers a variety of discounts and credits in most states, such as a multi-car discount, good student discount, and savings for vehicles with passive restraints, airbags, anti-lock brakes and certain anti-theft devices.

What if you are leasing a hybrid vehicle instead of purchasing one? Do you still get the discount?
Yes.  The discount is available for all hybrid cars whether purchased or leased.

Will the discount be applied to all of your existing policies with hybrid cars, or is it only for new customers?
The discount will apply to existing insurance policies with hybrid cars. The policies of existing customers will have the discount automatically applied at renewal once the discount is available in their state.
